I Can Only Imagine is a very colorful contemporary abstract landscape painting. I chose this title because of the beautiful  sunset colors I chose to use in the sky. 

I created this piece in celebration of a bright beautiful day that was coming to a glorious end. The summer breezes were lightly blowing through the trees close to where I was painting. There was something very special, clear and pure about that evening as the sun was going down. I take photos of the sunset almost every night and I am always amazed at how different each one looks. I'm motivated to paint beautiful images from nature but paint them in an abstract, contemporary modern technique so they are a stand-alone work of art. Capturing a sunrise or a sunset in a painting is a passion, a dream and now a realty. 

This painting consists of blues, salmon, a little purple, yellows, shades of orange and white. The edges of the canvas have been painted black. No frame is needed so the painting is ready to hang. A UV-resistant varnish has been applied to the surface.
