"Sunset Serenade" by Linda D. Bailey 6" Wide x 6" High on canvas panel, in 8" x 8" frame.
Collection: Synchronized Spectrum
This new piece of art, made from recycled materials in my art studio, showcases a grid of 25 individual abstract paintings, each measuring 1" x 1". The composition is arranged in a symmetrical pattern, with five squares by five squares, creating a sense of balance and order. The color palette beautifully captures the essence of a sunset on ocean water. The individual squares feature a range of sunset colors, including various tones of orange, pink, and white. These warm hues evoke a sense of warmth, serenity, and the fading light of a setting sun. In contrast, I introduce a striking shift in color, predominantly featuring shades of blue and dark teal. Some squares even incorporate dramatic dark blues and dark reds, adding depth and intensity to the composition. These cooler tones emulate the vast expanse of the ocean, creating a visual representation of the merging of sky and water during twilight. The individual squares, each an abstract painting in its own right, have unique shapes, patterns, and textures. They come together harmoniously to form a cohesive whole, reflecting the ever-changing colors and textures found within a captivating sunset on the water.
By mounting these squares on a canvas board, I have created a unified piece of art that celebrates the beauty and tranquility of a sunset over the ocean. The artwork invites you to immerse yourself in the captivating colors, evoking a sense of wonder, calmness, and the timeless beauty of nature.
