This relaxing piece of art represents a grove of trees along the Sycamore hiking trail at Umstead Park in Raleigh, NC. The trail can be a little challenging if I have not hiked in a while since it is 7.3 miles long, but it is well worth the effort just because of the beautiful views! This grove is just beyond a clearing along the trail. The sides are painted black and a satin varnish protects all surfaces. Being able to visually express my feelings, thoughts and passions onto a canvas is the fulfillment of my personal calling.
