Washed in the River

"Washed in the River" by Linda D. Bailey  36" Wide x 24" High x 1.5" Deep

This abstract piece of art was created in layers of color utilizing lights & darks along with texture to give it depth. In most of my more recent work, you'll find areas of light in the painting that illuminate it and give it more of a glow. In this particular painting, I was inspired by a scripture: Matthew 3:6 "Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River." The blues and greens represent the river, the reeds and other vegetation. The white and yellow represent the glow of the Holy Spirit. I hope viewers will feel joy and happiness when they see this painting. A satin varnish has been applied to all the painted surfaces. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this artwork.
